Been getting my ducks in a line cause after 9 weeks , 8 weeks after lung surgery I go back to work tomorrow. Here's a few pics I'll post more later. I would like to also thank Coot for his hospitality for allowing us to stay in his home on the way to Cheaha. Another " Thank You " to Winghot for feeding us friday on the way to Cheaha ( the food was great ). Photo taken in front of Waynes place in Cullman, Alabama ( I love you guys too  Wink   )

We made the call to go ride saturday and not deal with 30,000 folks at the race track. We took a great ride south of Cheaha mountain ( thanks Coot ) . Lake Martin was ground zero for the ride with backroads around the lake and a drive by at Horseshoe Bend Military Park. We had a outstanding day and for the most part rode dry roads. Photo of Lucky 13 and " THE " Detn8er checkin' out Lake Martin near Martin Dam .

Picture below is on the tour of Horseshoe Bend Military Park.

You are quite welcome.  I enjoy scaring my neighbors by having my modahsickle buddies over Wink  Add my thanks to Wayne for the tasty lunch in Cullman.  And thanks to all for putting up with an old fart on a sport-tourer.  If I ever buy a cruiser, it will be a Valkyrie.

Looking forward to seeing many of you again in Gettysburg.

If you went to Horseshoe Bend Park that means you rode on Hwy 49. That's the road we take to get to Cheaha. From Tuskegee to Cheaha. Lots of twisties. Rode it going to Cheaha and going home. And if you ride it again to Lake Martin, just north of the bridge on 49 at the lake is Oskars, a great eatery. And the crowds weren't too bad at the races cause of the "rain".

Yes I agree Hwy.49 is a cool piece of asphalt . Coot had us out on some outstanding backroads also he grew up in that area and hooked us up with a beautiful ride. I had a blast we had a good group of riders with us last saturday while at Cheaha.
