Hi, this is probably a dumb question, but I never installed a fuel valve before, and wondering if I should teflon tape the brass nipples before I screw them into the body, or just tighten a bit past finger tight.  didnt know if the gas would eat the tape or not  Undecided

thanks again for the good site and info Smiley

gas will not eat the tape..but personally i would use the liquid teflon..if a little peice of that teflon tape gets into the fuel line it could end up sticking a float open or if it gets past the neddle valve it could clog a jet up..keep in mind..gas will leak out of cracks that even water can't get threw..i would deffeinatly seal those threads.
