I would have had that woman so pissed off within 2 minutes, she would have either swung her fist or spit,or called the cops herself because I was verbally abusing her. My Mom owns a Prius too,and she just rolls her eyes when I tell her what the VW TDI gets for fuel mileage!

I would love to show up with my brother's 1970 bonneville and just sit there idling and blipping the throttle. I drive a Honda Accord, probably a pretty clean running vehicle, but I don't tell anyone they don't need to be driving a truck, suv, etc. Heck, if I could get people this ticked off, I would get a nice full size GMC truck!

Whatever she does for a living she doesn't like it. That explains the fowl mood. I own a Prius and I love it, when I come to a stop and the engine shuts off. It's a very efficient vehicle in every way, and it fits my families needs. If I need to haul something I have a trailer. I would have shut the door on her, but kept the video rolling because she would have hit it. There's no call to use language like that in front of children. Drive what you wan to drive. I love mine because $25 in gas gets me 400-500 miles.

i dont have a problem with toyota drivers, around here its the volvo drivers,, they have a hole about the size of a silver dollar they look through and when they change lanes they just move on over and half way through they will turn on the turn signal.. seems every time i get cut off or i see a driver do something stupid, its in a volvo.

it strikes me as funny she demands to be treated nicely while she cusses them out.
once again the line was not crossed for me to respond with violence, however she would have been treated to a trip to the verbal woodshed.

There are many reasons not to own a Prius: _The MAIN Reason: Toyota stole the battery technology US, from America, from U.S. taxpayers, specifically from my former company. For every Prius is sold, Totota has to pay a royalty to Cobasys, Inc (an American company) for stealing the Nickle Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery technology patented by Cobasys. The royaties were awarded through the courts in lieu of terminating the Prius. This has not been widely reported, but is well documented. Toyota is an extremely scummy corporate citizen, and people that continue to buy them are brainwashed. Toyota's numerous safety violations, cover-ups, and rampant corporate theft are just beginning to come to light, but have existed forever. Toyota should not be allowd to do business in the U.S. due the their thievery our corporate intellectual property and unrivalled corporate greed. Time to level the playing field. That cow should be shot.

Let's not turn this into a foreign vs American rant. What we have here is simply a holier than thou misguided, stupid , big cow ( or you fill in a word) with a mouth to match.
Drive what you want, drive what you need, and mind your own business.
I would've done what Daniel suggested.

No comment on this one.
Wife drives a Toyota Highlander.
So far she is very happy with it.
Back when gas was mucho cheaper, she drove Lincoln's.
Next door neighbor was a Ford-Mercury-Lincoln dealer. He sold the Lincoln to her at his cost and then gave her top $$$$$ for her trade-in. He still made big bucks on the deal.
Then we moved back to Iowa and no more goodies on vehicles. So we looked around and took the best deal. This trip it happened to be a Toyota. Next one might be a Buick, or a KIA or something in between.

I drive Toyota and Honda when ever possible. I have GM,Ford,Jeep,Chrysler and Harley too,but it is like comparing apples to oranges. I like both. My 68 beetle was welcomed into the stables as well but the Subaru is kind of a fruit all it's own.! My 'scoobydoos' are as delicious as apples and oranges, but defiantly not comparable !

Wow, that woman needs meds. I would have definately rolled the window up and hit the high idle... Probably would have also made sure I got a chance to shoot a load of fuel enriched exhaust in the car window when I left also, not that any of us would do that !! I drive what I like, there is so little difference in who manufacturs what any more, that it is hard to distinguish many from foreign. I am not sold on the Prius personally. They create their own environmental issues because of the batteries. My friends in EMS and fire service are not especially fond of them either. That being said, they are neat cars. That does remind of a few years ago, when I still lived near Raleigh, NC. A good friend of mine was driving his prius, I was in my mercedes e300. We were both loaded with a group of ham operators going to Richmond to a radio (hamradio) fest. He said something kind of smart A$$ over the radio to me about getting nearly 60 mpg while were cruising. I was behind him at the time, being the good friend that I was, I stepped on it, blew by him. I then chided him, that I was loaded with passengers, had climate control, more power to spare, plenty of room and would probably survive side, front and rear crashes. We could whisper in the car and still hear each other, oh and we looked good!! But the real burner was, I was doing all that at about 42 mpg......(it was a good year for MB diesels). Too each is own, I like cars, I do not like beaaotches. I was married to one, perhaps that was her sister??? Craig NcGhostrider 99 I/S

Not enough threat for violence. Even a push would be streching it. High idle,,all the way! How much is a prius? I got my 98 Mazda because the folks were gonna scrap it. The converter was bad and wouldnt pass emmisions. I paid $50.00 for it and drove 800 miles inna day to relight the converter and clean it out. I get 35+- for milage. I RECYCLED a car and brought it back to life. Even if it got less milage, I could run alot of gas through it before I met the price of her car. Lets not even get into my hot rods, that have many junk yard recycler parts and throw cleaner emmissions than required. .02

I'm betting that if you followed that lady around for a while you'd find out that she has issues with lots of things, not just diesel trucks. For sure she won't die from premature stress from holding back her feelings.
