Replaced OEM headlight now problems

OK
I got a screaming deal on a bullet custom headlight and changing it over was a nightmare. Getting that wiring into that sucker was tough but after hours of taking my time it looked great. I rode it for a while (about 35 miles) and parked her in the garage. There was no problems, started every time I stopped and was working great. 2 days later went to fire her up and the battery seemed to be dead, just clicked. I took all the wiring out of the light and checked it over for 2 hours making sure it was hooked up right. I had to mess with the stop switch a few times (never happened before) and the lights came on and I tried starting her. There was a loud click in the right side cover and the lights went out and that was it. I figured there was a short somewhere so went thru it again. Its all color coded plugs and I marked each wire so dont think thats the issue. After a few minutes the breaker resets and the lights come back on and is ready to start. I even disconnected several wires in the headlight (blinkers and such) to make sure there was not a short and it just trips the breaker. Now all the lights come on EXCEPT the rear blinkers and the rest work fine. Took a break and just got to frustrated. Can it be that I shorted something out and now the breaker trips or something? I unhooked the battery when I did it, it ran great for a day now its doing this.
ANY info is appreciated as I cant afford the Honda shop!!

Since it ran fine for a while, it doesn't seem likely that crossed wires are the problem. I would check the starter relay which coincidentally is located under the right side cover. They are known to develop resistance and melt down.
Replacements are available on Ebay. A couple are listed there now.

sounds like just the right amount of time for the battery to die because its not getting juice from the alternator............check teh 55A fusable link. Its behind the right side cover in a little rectangular box.....says "fuse" on the lid

Ditto on the battery as the culprit. Same thing happened to me:
