Nah - it's an IS. Ad says damage to the crash bar, it probably busted up the pod. It's got a trunk, and you can see the "scoop" underneath the crash bar on the right side - only the IS has those.

I never could understand why people don't make an effort to clean things up before they try to sell them? I mean how long would it have taken to wash the bike?

I'd scoop that up in a heartbeat if I were anywhere near NC... Good project bike. Someone nearby could probably get it from the son for 1/2 -2/3 of what he's asking... put around $2000 in her to restore and have a nice IS.

I have to say this-as much as i would love to get that I/S back where she belongs(running down the road)I am finding out every day what living on a fixed income means. Realizing cash is tight most everywhere i would like to see someone here rescue that bike. Something to the effect my eyes are bigger than my budget. RIDE SAFE.

Spoke with the gentleman who has the bike. He said that the bike has been sitting up for about 4 years, that will probably explain the dirt and dust build-up. I also asked him if he tried to start it and his response was "no". I suggested that he not try or let anyone else try to start it in that condition. It has 57k miles, if I recall correctly, also dried or bad fuel and clogged carbs.

If you are riding and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Too high, make it about $1999 and go down from there. There are a lot of things that could be wrong that don't show. Hoser

I never could understand why people don't make an effort to clean things up before they try to sell them? I mean how long would it have taken to wash the bike? I understand that. A little wipe down would make this look better. At the moment I'm questioning if the tires are still new under that dust or if they've began to dry rot. If it was wiped off I'd believe the tires were new. It is a shame when people have to settle estates and sell quickly. He wrecked it about a year before he passed away and never rode it again. I bet he didn't ride much after he passed away.
