I rode up to Knoxville on Thursday.  Wimp met me at the Dragon store and we rode in together.  We met up with Joe, Gordon, Eric and Todd (aka "re Todd"), and others for dinner and an impromptu birthday party for Smokin' Joe.

I stayed at Wimp and Margie's house and when I asked him if he had any Wild Turkey this is what I got in his back yard....

Hal hamming it up...

Gordon having a drink...

Visiting the treehouse...

At the furnace...

Oops!  Gordon having a drink...

Big Eric, Joe, and Bernie (Dubsvalk) at the waterfall

Joe and Wimp telling lies....

Alan (Punisher) listening to lies...

It's late and I'm tired so I'm going to end it here...plenty of other pictures to be seen in other threads.

I just wanted to say thanks to Mac for putting this together and leading us and to everyone who came out to make this another great Valkyrie memory.

You guys are the best! cooldude

Two thumbs up???
I can answer this one Britman ....He never took them off  Wink  Just like everyone else I've told about Gerbing Paul said " Why did I wait so long to buy " ...Some of the best money you can spend and adds so much more comfort to motorcycling in cold and cool temps...I'll never be without them in fact I just bought another set of the new generation Gerbing's.

I wore my socks, I sure enjoyed having toasty feet, I hate it when you can't feel your toes anymore... I wish
the wires inside the socks weren't so uncomfortable, especially by the end of the day...

Have you tried wearing socks with thick soles?

I've got the socks and boot incerts both the socks are somewhat warmer ( not by much ) however the incerts are much more comfortable when walking around. It's rare that I'll wear the socks/incerts or pants I can get by just fine down to 25 degrees with the jacket liner and gloves.

My gerbing socks don't have wire on the soles, just on the tops. My boots fit me pretty well,
like I could probably hike in them and not get a blister... but when you add wires to the sock-tops,
it gets to where you can really feel them when walking around... didn't do too much walking around  Wink

I'll wear the socks/incerts or pants I can get by just fine down to 25 degrees with the jacket liner and gloves.

We were all complaining about toes-like-icesickles that morning we left for Texas, it was only about
35 or 40 then, but it was misty-foggy-highly-humid... Thumper told me about the inserts when I was
whining about the sock-wires... sounds pretty good - Joe, what do you think about the inserts making
boots too tight, is that something to worry about?

On that morning we left for Texas, I started holding my toes against the underside of my valve covers...
they warmed up some, but you can still see the marks on the outside of the boots, they didn't like it very much...
