I hear you.  I would rather spend time with my dog than I would with most people.  He doesn't complain, whine, get an attitude and is always ready for a walk or a drive in the car.

Be right back; have to go count'em. OK:
-newfoundlander; black and white Landseer, 180lbs
-Saint Bernard (the only girl and she knows it)
-Giant sheppard (148lbs) with an attitude and a mouth on him
- 2 (two!) Jack Russell brothers
All live in the house. Out in the country - so when I let'em out for the constitutionals, it's an adventure. When someone knocks on the door, it's an explosion of dogs - enough to give me a heart-attack.
