Looks nice I wonder where the 'crossing point' is between a naked 'Wing and a dressed Valk?

There you have it folks, that's the answer. When parts become scarce and I get tired of kicking around junk piles at pinwheel. I want the stripped 1800 wing, like the one on the top of this thread.
Hopefully, when that day comes, Honda will have woken up and started production on the "VALKYRIE II."

I found it first Is the rear wheel set up (looks like no through axle) on this bike the same as a GW or is this modified? Or am I looking at this wrong? Also the 4 cyl GWs don't have inverted forks, do the later ones?

The 1800's have a single arm swingarm, you can remove the rear wheel almost like pulling a wheel off a car...something like 5-6 bolts and the wheel comes off.

These are my three 2-wheel toys; A '77 Wing-CAFE; my "nakid" Valk; and my nakid VTX. Acute MBS! https://picasaweb.google.com/103917731019176896112/TheThreeAmigas?authkey=Gv1sRgCIe0wJLpibP_ZQThe Wing has been stripped and converted into a CAFE Style bike... 105 Lbs lighter. It's mechanically unmolested: 14K original miles 4-Cylinder Boxer 999 CC / 78 H.P - 490 Lbs. It cruises @ 110 all day long... it flies through the twisters... a thrillin' ride!

This is a pic of my sister sitting on my '76 Goldwing. This is May of '83 and the picture was taken while my dad and sister were waiting for me and my ship, USS John F Kennedy to come back from our cruise. Prior to leaving......the bike and I had an unfirtunate run in with the "false nuetral" issue that would sometime rear its ugly head when alcohol was present......anyway, long story shor....I got a reduced rate for the rebuild because of the relatively long period of time that I would be gone, the dealer used my bike as an example of some of the more serious damage that could be done to a Goldwing.....while the dealer was doing the motor, my dad had the tins painted, so when I got back it was like a new motorcyce. My sister got her edorsement and rode it to Norfolk VA, while my dad rode his '79.
