And... not ALL Android devices have it, it's installed by the carrier, and NOT a part of Android. If you have a pure Android device (I.E. Google Nexus) then you don't have it. Also, if you have a homebrew optimized firmware (Cyanogedmod, for instance) you also don't have it.
There are also apps to install that can scan for it and remove it if you're worried about it.
