Well the weather finally turned around and the sun came out.  Temps warmed into the low to mid 40's along with the great sunshine made for the best day to take out my new baby for an Ohio shakedown run.

I had to take the bike to get it inspected......in Ohio any out of state vehicle needs inspected (VIN number verified against the title) and a fee paid for 5 minutes worth of paperwork. tickedoff

I rolled into the inspection center and the lady looked at me as if I was down right stupid.  Her first words were....isn't it a little cold for a ride?  Told her it wasn't to bad actually and I needed an out of state vehicle inspected.....she laughed and then said so that's why your riding today.

Well long story short after the title was finished and I made it back to the lis. bureau for my new plates I was itching to just go ride.  Took the new baby out for what started out as a quick short ride but turned into a 100 mile trip real quick.  YEP I'm hooked on the valk and can't wait for another day of mid 40 degree days to go riding yet before the snow files.

Should have taken a picture so you could see the HUGE smile on my face.......it still hasn't gone away since I made it home (maybe it's frozen that way who knows)  Grin

Yeah! Good on you.

Here in the SF Bay area today temps were in the high 40's when I went out for a brief ride this morning. Enjoyed the cool weather, but there has been a fierce wind for the last 24 hours which ripped off a LOT of branches, dead wood, pine cones and what have you off of the trees along Highway 35. It ended up as an obstacle course on this two-lane and twisty road. The sun had come out and produced a dizzying pattern of black and light stripes on the road, making it hard to see what was road or downed branches. The Valk took it all in stride, hit a few branches straight on but it kept its course. Tricky stuff though...
