Results of the poll for meeting places:

We had a tie between Flip's and I don't care where (I'll be there).  Wilhoites, one of our former locations that we left due to the extreme noise factors at 8:45 and on, was 3rd.  Joe's, our current location, had one positive vote.  However, it could be that those "I don't care" votes were actually for Joe's.  Hard to tell and I'm really sorry I put that selection in the poll.

However, based on this poll, I will check out Flip's as to meeting room reservations.  I am assuming that those voting for Flip's have already verified a meeting room.  If they don't have a meeting room or cannot accomodate us, we'll check out Wilhoites for the availability of the meeting room.

Until we have confirmations, the meetings will continue to take place at Joe's, at least through the August 14th meeting.

As an "I don't care" vote, I can confirm you're right that Flip's and Joe's would have been next on my list and Wilhoites would have been down the list, more because the food sucks than the noise.

Yes, it was read.  We had considered changing the meeting night just last year when we were thinking about going back to Spring Creek BBQ, but it was voted down.  We've proposed Friday or Saturday night - also voted down.

Your opinion is welcomed.  However, that does not invalidate the actual votes on a poll of the membership.  Thursday night is the preferred night.  But I'll put a poll up and get votes on that and we'll ask for a vote based on those numbers.  Just as the members at the meeting will vote on if we should change locations at the next meeting which will be at Joe's Crab Shack.

If it were just me, we'd stay at Joe's on Thursday until next July when Ron and my terms expire and a new President and Vice President are elected.  But this club belongs to the members, so they have the final say.  If the members want to change nights, they can vote to do so.

Just to let you know, I voted for Joes. too bad more people didn't vote.
maybe you all should address the location for the christmas party, it's only 5 months away!

i will see if Mr jim can bring me, if he decides to go, he's been having some health issues lately. I found out there's some Valkers at a church here , I will try to meet them next sunday.

Thanks for all you guys do, H
