How do you get qualified for something like that anyway???  I've thought about it and maybe I might try it when I go to S. Carolina next year to visit my sister.

Mind over matter.      uglystupid2   Your mind tells your butt that it doesn't matter and you just do it.     crazy2    I've done it once and will probably try it again next year if my schedule allows.

Congrats Mark.

In the past 18 months,  I've come close three times (858, 915, and 901 miles in one day).  Hopefully, one of these days, I'll actually get motivated enough to join your distinguished club.  I'd like to see of those special license plate frames on the pearl white steed.

Considering RainMaker is not the bragging type, let me share my perspective of his achievement.

When Yoda Master, Valkpilot, and I did our SS1000 in July 2010, the official miles were 1,065 from our start in Denton, TX to our end in Deadwood, SD.   We did that in 16 hours of saddle time / 18 hours of total time.

Then, Six Guns, and a while later, 5_19, rode from Ft Worth and Dublin to Florida (Orlando?  Ocala?) besting our miles by 200-ish.  (I hope I have the timing right.)

RainMaker rode 1,33X miles in less than 24 hours.   cooldude   That is some serious riding.

I was considering it on this run but knew that I should not tempt fate as I was really tired at the end of this ride.

But I'm not looking at routes - the next attempt will be because I am somewhere or going somewhere that will be over 1500 miles away for a purpose.  Inzane Washington State or InZane New York or something like that.

Thanks!
