Close.

A few years ago I answered the home phone and heard a puzzled voice asking if this was Mike Frye's residence. I replied yes and that I was Mike Frye. After a long pause an old high school bud of mine introduced himself. He said he lived in Georgia (I think) now and had just heard I was dead. He was looking online for my obituary as he was calling to talk to my family. Needless to say, he was surprised to find himself talking to me. I hadn't talked to him in 30 years or more.

A week later his wife called to tell me he had just died of a heart attack. My guess is, he felt his time was near and was contacting old buds since he mentioned trying to get in contact with some other old high school buds too.
