Out for the maiden voyage, yes it's 42 degrees so it didn't last long.   Went with the Altimax 205/60/16 given the feedback on this forum.   Handles like it does on the Wing, tracks straight, need a little bit of extra umph in the corners, just have to trust it and go.  Gives a nice solid feel.  Too bad I gotta wait til spring to put some miles on.

Just picked up this '98 Standard, solid riding bike, haven't had a chance to really ride it yet.   Put some read brake pads on, changed some fluids and went over the bike thoroughly.  Ready for some cruising in the spring.  Now it's time to put her to bed.

42 degrees is great riding weather! When I replace my

My Altimax got better with miles.  I have about 10K on it now on a 99 IS and it's pretty good.

I still like the Falken better though.

I put on a Falken a week ago and so far I like it.  It's a 205/65/16 so the rpms are a little lower and I hope to get a little better mpg, but not counting on it.  Smiley

I really like the wet performance on the ride into work this morning!  Look at those center water channels!!

Let us know what you think. I chose the Altimax to be my next CT, then recently have been hearing a lot of good reports on the Bridgstone Potenza. I just never cared for the looks and tread design of the Potenza, but I'm hearing good things. Now I'm back up on the fence Undecided

42 degrees was probably just cool enough to prevent the spontaneous combustion of your new flaming car tire of death.   coolsmiley
