1st I am glad you recognise that you may be different.

I know I am.

But different is good sometimes.

That is where greatness originates.

Seeing things others don't.

But on the other hand being different is not easy.

Dad likes this one from Waylon, so do I.

It makes life a lot better if you appreciate the really important things in life. Love,,Family,,,a good bowel of beans,with hot suace.

I grew up in West Texas listening to Hank Williams Sr., Lefty Frazell, George Jones, and the Grand Old Oprey gang on my grandmother's battery operated radio (no rural electricity yet).  Yes, I can relate...Jim  Wink

Thanks for the fond flashbacks of what I call simpler times. My Dad used to listen to Waylon all day long, good times......

Waylon often said he got his start at Mr. Lucky’s in Phoenix, Arizona.  I saw him there several times.  I think he felt he owed them something so he and wife Jessie would do intimate concerts at that venue when J David Sloan owned Mr. Lucky’s.  I once attended a party at the Jennings home. 

A few years later I saw Waylon and Jessie and their associates at Buffalo Chip in Cave Creek, Arizona.  Waylon was wearing a baseball cap drawn down over his face and using a walker.  He looked real bad however, toward the end of the bands set, they got him up to a stool on stage and he did a couple of songs.  He could still sing but we knew it would not be long.  Jessie later told me that night at Buffalo Chip was his last public performance.  He died about four week later.

Jessie still lives out here and has attempted to reignite her singing career.  You can see her from time to time doing guest spots in some of the bars around Scottsdale/Cave Creek area.  She sometimes shows up when friend Ronnie Glover and his band are playing for some event.

The man's work will continue to live on.
