I will likely post this on the "tech" board as it does relate to a rear fender. As you of you may remember, I posted an notice that due to being rear-ended", I needed a replacement rear fender. The offer I accepted was from David Albrecht AKA Dogg
He said that he had a fender with no damage or scratches!! I took his word for it and sent him a check for $70., (the amount he asked for). The fender arrived and it was bent all to heII !! It had been rear-ended worse than mine!! It was NOT damaged in shipment, as there was no damage to the box and the bent areas of the fender were very rusted!! It had holes drilled in it for one of those chrome mud flap things! He has refused to even respond to several e-mails that I sent to him regarding this matter!! I just sent him a final e-mail regarding my considerable disappointment in not being able to trust a fellow Valk rider. I guess that whatever his situation is, it must real bad! I mean, for that small amount of money you would forsake you honesty and given word!! WOW! I feel sorry for him! Yea, I'm a bit pi$$ed, as I certainly can't afford to just give away money.
So, I guess that this is a warning--DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY!!

For the record: I've been attempting to communicate with him via the e-mail address he gave me when he sent me his full name and resident address, back when I was agreeing to buy his "NO-DAMAGE-NO SCRATCHES fender. I did just a few minutes ago re-send my last e-mail to his Verison" address that I just rec'd.

maybe something happened that cause him to have a brain fart and put the wrong fender in the box and is having to deal with it,,what ever it may be...
hope he is ok...

I've met David a couple times " The Blue/Gray Ride " to Gettysburg ,Pa and this years " The Hillbilly Highway Run " in Franklin,WV...... Just does'nt seem to me he would do this to a fellow VRCC member  I'm sure when he gets the e-mails he'll do whats right. |

Yea Dogg is a good guy. Worst he will do is talk your ear off at 4 am while your tring to sleep.  I trust him. |

Full set of pipes with Tailgunners installed in 5" stacks, last summer. No problems at all. Seems like your report isn't usual behavior for Dogg.

I appreciate all the favorable comments about Dogg, however, I still haven't heard from him and I've sent several e-mails in the last two days and to two different addresses. Guess only time will tell! Maybe he's "out-of'town", Ya never know.

I met him at the Blue Grey Ride. I don't think there is any way he would have done you wrong on purpose.
He may be away from his PC for a few days or you may have the wrong address but I can't imagine him doing you wrong intentionally.

Sorry to hear about your mis-fortune. It sucks being rear-ended. It sucks worse to get shafted on an online deal. Hopefully everyone who has responded is correct and he is just out of town or away for a few days and will make it right....

i know Dogg personally..give him alittle time..he works odd hours and does not check his email everyday.iv'e been to his house on numerous occasions and we've done favors for each other..i agree on the mis communication because this does'nt sound like something he would do.. he would give the shirt off his back if it would help someone out.

A few days is not a lot of time.
A week or two would be fair. People get busy this time of year.
You might want to edit your post to remove his email addresses. That just opens him up to heavy SPAM potential.
At least until your 100% positive of no resolution.
SPAM Spyders love to crawl message boards searching for that very opportunity. Once they hit it, well it could become a terrible nuisance to Dogg.
Just a thought...
Besides, maybe he had a family member package the fender and they may have packaged the wrong fender by mistake. I suspect he may have a lot of parts hanging around that could be confusing to anyone else. |

Earl, my fault. Desktop took a crap and I can't check email. I thought I sent you my phone number. I'll send in a pm. I got that from pintail off eBay for my bike. Never opened it. I am really sorry if it was messed up. They told me it was perfect and even sent pics of it in perfect condition. Call me when you get my pm in a few. I'll gladly send your money back.
Lol, I was just getting a check for the 8.00$ difference in the shipping to ya. Guess I'll keep that .
Really sorry. I should have opened it. Oh well. Post pics of it here so others can see what pit ail sent me. I'll get it straight

Listen Earl. My wife just called. I apologize about the fender but if you ever EVER want anyone to help you ever again, you really need to correct you crappy attitude. You were very rude to her.
Maybe you need to apologize to her for trying to help you and to make this right. Unbelievable...
On a. Lighter note, Tracy is putting a check in the mail tomorrow. Just in case anyone else was interested in the outcome. And Earl is a mean person...

I just finished forwarding all the e-mails to Tracy along with a separate one to her. I think you should go read them ALL! As for attitude, well Tracy has quite a little temper, I finally had to ask her if I could get a word in and just read her a couple of the e-mails the she said was not rec'd. I'm not going to get into a Pi$$ing or name calling contest with you. Put yourself in my positon and take note of the efforts I put forth to resolve the matter in an amicable manor. As far as I'm concerned the entire matter has been a comedy of errors and is resolved.

Send my fender back so I can peruse through piwall....I would be careful asking for help again here. Maybe someone will help you but I sure as he'll won't.
