I had no idea that he is still around. I ran in into him while looking at a Gl1000 today. He still makes and sells carb conversions for Gl1000, 1100, and 1200. but he said the Valk project got dropped because the cost was too high. He figured the cost for the kit would run $2,700. I got news for you, mine cost more than that.

Nice old guy. He has a ton of old GL parts.

Jeff, is he down around Lake Alfred or Winter Haven, somewhere in that area is where I bought a conversion kit for a GL1000 project bike I had about ten yrs. ago. It coverted to a single barrel Holley as I recall, the manifold was a solid cast piece, turned the old girl into a real screamer. I also converted the points/condensor type ignition and change the coils to Accel. Got rid of all the plastic, found an engine from some guy down in that area also...had 24k on it. Ran like a scalded dog, sold it for just under $2k, wish I still had it now.
