97 Standard with 28000 miles and the only mechanical change according to P.O. was the installation of Two Brothers exhaust. My question is, is any popping at all normal? I have popping equally on left and right side.
Over winter I plan on replacing all vac lines and o rings due to the age of the bike. I would rather not get into a desmog.

That would be a good thing to do.

You can probably blame all the popping on the exhaust system you have on the bike.

Pretty common.

Also I bet the intake screwes are loose....there are 18 of them, however the upper set of 6 usually dont get loose just the 12 lower screwes....check em  they are the screws that tighten the clamps that attach the carburators to the chrome intakes
