That's 6 on the Valk (unless I lost count). Four confirmed kills, two that I would call "assists".

Left the Valk in C'ville and brought the truck home last night...wasn't up to that long a ride, and may have damage I couldn't see in the dark (suspect my radiator is tweaked, but it's not leaking).

Six. How many do ya get?

My only confirmed kills are a Turkey, Siamese Cat and an assist on a turtle.  The turkey really slimed me as he pooped, I mean popped, over the top of the windshield!

Probably 80% of my riding is after dark this time of year...I like night riding anyway, but man...

On the way home last night (in the truck) I stopped for a car that had hit a deer direct center/grill. I would guess the car is totaled. A hit like that would toast a rider/bike.

I've had a small deer (fawn) direct smackdown...right under the front tire, but all the rest (larger) I have glanced/deflected or barely tapped...evasive action has been pretty good...but there's been a lot of luck.

As usual...deep ponderings are afoot...

Living in Michigan, I have hit my fair share of deer over the 45 years of driving. Fortunately, never on a bike. I've hit almost every other kind of small critter there is (both wild and domestic) with my bikes, but never knocked down by one. I have a very interesting story about a horse in a snowstorm I'll put down one day cooldude

I got a pheasant dead center in the radiator on the Chevy Trike.   His head came clear through the tubes.    Poured in a can of pepper and headed the last 5 miles to home without over heating.    Got home, pulled his body and head out, an did the anti freeze ever pour out..   I carry a can of pepper at all times just in case I or someone else gets a leak.   Pepper won't dissolve, so it does a good job of plugging the hole.

Radiator was toast, so a new special built one by 'Cool something' in Canada, cost a shade over $1,000 by the time it got here.   I sued the Pheasant but his kin folk didn't have diddly poop or insurance.  LOL......

In SD headed for Sturgis, I was on a back road to avoid the I-S.    Fox run out in front of me, he was clear past and did a 180 and headed back.    Dead centered him and MGM went airborne.    The poor Fox spun up the highway quite aways before he stopped.   I didn't even slow down after impact.

Have hit lots of birds, smaller ones, on the windshield which splatters blood all over hell.

Way back when I was a kid with my brand new license to drive.   My step dad let me take his brand spankin new 49 Ford to the next town where my girl friend lived.    Coming back up here to go to a movie, we hit an old sow about 50 MPH.   Wedged her fat arse under the car.  When we 1st got stopped and out of the car she was squealing like I don't know what.   She stopped, so I figured she was dead.    Finally got a call into the Sheriff, and my folks.   Dad called a wrecker buddy of his to come down.   He lifted the car up, and about 15 farmers were ready to pull the carcass out.    Someone grabbed a hind leg, she kicked, and came out from under the car, and took off down the highway for home.  She had no hide what so ever on her one side.

Farmer who owned her put her out of her misery, called dad and they decided that each would take care of their repairs and he'd pay the Locker bill to have her cut up and some sausage made.    We got half of the hog all packaged up in packages that dad and mom requested.     We put a new bumper on the Ford and straightened out the Bed Post guards and it was still that way when he traded it off.   That one scared the sheet out of me in more ways than one.     The Ford had like 90 miles on it when it happened.    He had just picked it up the day before, brand spankin new out the door.

Uncounted birds big and small, several bats, raccoons, possums, one humming bird, some snakes and a few squirrels with the scooter. Many, many deer but all taken with a gun or bow thankfully. Although my kills & skills seem to be tapering off somewhat.  Sad

I'm afraid one of your deer doused your scooter with some kind of pheromone like bees do to entice the remaining deer to attack.

That is quite a record, DM!  Especially since you lived to tell about it.  In these parts, the deer are too large to survive many, if any, encounters.

Ride safe!

Not exactly...but it is similar. What kind of logo would repel the beasties? Smiley
