my Garmin street pilot threw in the towel a couple of weeks ago, I turned it on and it had me 7800 miles from Phoenix ( I thought that was odd I was in Arizona!) when I looked at the map all I saw was blue, I zoomed out to about 300 miles I was in the south Atlantic 200-250 miles off the coast of Cameroon, Africa.  Shocked wicked!

I bought a cobra 5550 pro, not the biggest or baddest but it was 200$ less then I paid for the Garmin. I like it alot it has a 105,000 more features then the other one (an exaggeration, but close!) it warns me 5 miles from speed traps, scales, and state borders  never been busted by a state border  Grin

however it does one incredibly annoying thing, when driving through a city center it will tell me to stay left at the 1 mile, 1/2 mile of every exit. I haven't found a way to change it in settings, so I just hit the mute button when she starts getting diarrhea of the mouth

I have a couple of Street Pilots and when one of them died, I sent it in for repair and Garmin sent me a fresh refurb at no cost.  Just saying...

I also I had a Zumo 550 touch screen that went, it was out of warranty and they gave me a refurb free.  About  a year or two later the  screen went again, I contacted them and they replaced it with a brand new one.  Give it a shot.

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

I just called customer service and told them I was lost and confused on what to do. The only draw back for me it took a while for them to send the units, but it was worth it.
