Been cruising sites, looking for a cold-weather helmet; either 3/4 or modular. Came across this newish model, Bell "Revolver" modular. Thought it looked pretty cool, plus it's Bell's first foray into modulars. That, and my first ever helmet was a Bell! So I spent some time researching, ending up on webbikeworld and reading their review (meh..). Finally get to the summary - and there it was: Country of manufacture. CHINA. Yet another bubble burst. Damn...

Darkmeister, you should look at the Zeus 3000B.  I have been using it for all of last season and I like it a lot.  Quieter than any other modular and it has the integrated pop down visor.

Wow! Thanks, my fellow fed! Sounds great - not only modular, but convertible (to open-face). Great reviews. Looks like I'll be forced to visit shops. There is only (count'em) ONE Zeus on eBay and not the 3000. Bonus: NOT made in China. I can live with Taiwan (the other China) and their quality controls.

Hey DM Bought a pair of Zeus helmets (flip up)  a couple of years ago and had a set of J/Ms put in at the same time. The helmets were great. Don't remember the model number but the headsets sounded like crap. The openings in the helmet for the headsets were way to high and the sound was aimed at my temple and not my ears. just something to look for if you are going to get wired.

Didn't drill enough on eBay; there are many in my size. Coincidently, Zeus' website made me LOL; they must have Google translations of Taiwanese, i.e.:

 03. After the customer response to the development of the hat, to bring the motorcycle 125CC sections to see me can not store the next release?

ANS:Consumers in choosing the first consideration when a helmet is a helmet to the store to place me in the locomotive, the company's new product development based on this issue will be to design products.

04. Cover the whole film has been Built sunglasses, and recommends that half the guests will they be able to cover type Built-sunglasses-chip design?

ANS:Batch has been for a half helmet design with Built-piece style sunglasses.

05. Helmets of the retention period is to start counting from the date of manufacture? Operator or the use of date?

ANS:The preservation of helmets purchased after a period of two years.

Adrian,

I have went through so many headsets over the years and my conclusion is that anything that goes through the bike's radio are crap, if you have the passenger hooked up as well.  Last spring we bought a Scala G4 Powerset and they are awesome.  My wife and I talk freely and there is no background noise when we are both on the valk.  You just have to take the time to set them up properly.  Also, when she is on her bike we can also communicate with ease.  The other plus is that if you have another set of helmets that you like to wear, you can buy another boom and ear piece set to put on the other helmet and use the actual unit in both helmets.  Check them out.

Darkmeister, I bought 2 Bells. I bought the Bell Revolver Rally that I absolutly love! Yes unfortunatley it's made in china but what isn't? lol It also has a 5 year warranty too. It fits perfect and I don't feel any wind and don't have to wear a barclava. I do use one just to go around my neck and feel no wind. I hate helmets, especially full face but don't mind the modular at all. just flip it up to drink, talk, etc. without having to take it off. Plus I love me drop down sun visor. I also got it on a one day sale at Jafrum for $78!! I bought my wife the Bell Arrow Zipper.  Wink
