I'm really getting sick of the dark and gloomy, as well as the damp cold here in MI.
OH CRAP! Winters coming,...crap, crap, crap. More cold, snow, ice, and motorists relearning that snow/ice have varying coefficients of friction. Dead batteries, lost gloves, leaking boots,...what a joy to look forward to.
But the days are going to get longer (at least I hope so), and Bike Week will help to usher in Spring! Of course Daytona Bike Week has also known to be a bust with some unpredictable weather there also.
Merry Christmas from this Old Curmudgeon.

37º on the way in this morning, 56º on the way home. 10% chance of rain, which means "nope". We got rain the other day, 1.5 inches on my gauge. Celebrations abounded and I grilled a nice steak. IF it snows, everything shuts down till 2pm when it goes away. One of us, (VRCC'ers) drives from Montana for the month of Febuary with a blizzard blowin all the way to relieve the "no ride pressure". We have heat, nasty flora and fauna, the deer mostly tastes like dirt here in S. AZ. All ya'll blue haired northerners come here for winter and add a challenge to the riding. I'll take it over snow. I was born in Kalamazoo, I think I know of which I speak, write. Throw another log on the fire and have a cocoa. Spring is a comin.

Celebrated the first day of winter with a bike ride to work. 27 degrees going in, 33 going home. Just a couple of miles for the ride. Been celebrating the whole last 2 weeks actually.
Shooting for a Xmas ride, and maybe New Years ride if the weather holds out.
Pretty darn good for NW Iowa.
