Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?
Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:
You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.
Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.
You are carrying a Colt Model 1911 45 cal. automatic pistol, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?
THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN:
Democrat's Answer :
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.
.............................................................................
Republican's Answer:
BANG!
........................................................................
Redneck's Answer:
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click..... (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click
Daughter: 'Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?!'
Son: 'Can I shoot the next one?!'
Wife: 'You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist

Call me a Redneck Republican.
I wouldn't have wasted the second clip.
I would have saved it for his buddies.

Can anyone even tell the difference between Rep. and Dem. anymore?
They all talk a good game, but the results are the same.

I'm sure that we all appreciate how intelligent you are ,Wayne, but you have a certain knack that pisses off members of the VRCC . Many of these VRCCR's are my friends who I have met personally. Since I don't care to debate, I'll leave it there. I have better things to do. Wayne, Solo1

She loved to lambast the GOP, and especially loved to get started on Watergate even though it was water under the bridge. She about blew a gasket when I told her in reponse to the Nixon thing one day "the major difference between the Democrats and Repulicans was....the Democrats didn't get caught." She went into orbit over that one, saying the Dems never have been involved in such activities. So, I suggested she read up a little on the Kennedy years and how he was elected, a good bit of it going back to when old Joe was a rum runner and made a lot of friends with the crime bosses. When Castro took over and nationalized everything, the syndicate lost billions. They later suggested to old Joe Kennedy that if John would take action to get back their investment in Cuba by getting rid of Castro, they would see to it he got elected. Joe approached John about running but he wasn't all that enthused at first, later relented. How he got elected was interesting in itself, my wife's family was living in the Chicago area at the time and I got some insight into the goings-on since they were strong volunteers at the local precincts. The Democratic machine under the first Mayor Daly was impenetrable, and was involved in the election big time. It became a local joke in the metro area after the election....in many precincts there were more votes cast by Dems than were registered voters. Needless to say, that area was a large factor in JFK's election...not that I had any objection to it at the time. But, getting back to the neighbor lady....when I suggested she get some reading material about all that she refused, saying it was all a bunch of lies put together by guess who....the GOP of course.
Finally, in one election some years back and just before they moved away, she always had a Democrat sign in her front yard supporting any local politician...some of which were of questionable character. One night, I picked up a rather large image of the GOP elephant that had been posted along the road and stuck it in the ground right in front of her sign. She didn't see it for three days since she didn't go out much, but about had a stroke when she finally spotted it. Later when "her man" was brought up on charges for some other illegal activity(never got elected), I asked if she still felt the Dems could do no wrong. She just smiled and walked away.
Personally, I question Obama's approach on more than a few things, I didn't vote for the man, nor did I vote for McCain. I feel if the media had given the same coverage to ALL those running for the office from the beginning, the outcome would have been different. Where we're headed as a society now has me troubled, I guess I'm glad I'm the age I am.
As for defining socialism, it appears we might be headed that way in some areas: "economic and political theory advocating that land, natural resources, and the chief industries should be owned by the community as a whole, i.e., governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods." I, for one, hope we don't go there.
