Finally got my zumo 550.  I have the basics of the Zumo down but I am still learning some of the functions.  I have not used the bluetooth function yet.  I am confused on what works with what.  I now have a Cardo Rider Q2 headset, Zumo 550, and my cellphone.  Can I get the cellphone, Q2 , and the Zumo to work at the same time through the headset?

From what I read you have to pair the cell phone with the Zumo then the Zumo with your headset.

I played around with the setup quite abit. The first thing I would do is on the 550 goto tools then system and at the bottom you will see about click on it. Check your version of firmware and specially the bluetooth version. If it is 3.1 I would update to 3.4.  Some people had issues with 3.0 and 3.1 bluetooth. To update plug the 550 to a USB port of your computer and goto the Garmin site. Then goto updates and download webupdater and run the program. A window will pop up with boxes, check the ones you want to update, specially the bluetooth and follow the instructions and the computer does the work. I don't think it has changed with 3.4 but you can't get XM radio through the bluetooth because of the band width. If you want XM you will need a bluetooth dongle. I suggest the wiREVO D1000 V not the D1000 if you want to use the cell phone. I just bought a second one for backup for $59 and they are still out there. (There is another brand by Collet for about $200 out the door.) Then pair the cell to the  550 and then pair the Q2 to the to the dongle and you should be set. I get everything to my headset but I dial preset calls through the 550. I think my setup works great with no problems.  Now the problems I noticed some people have is Volume all the way down or they just start pushing buttons and in some cases change the passkey.

Brett, you sure can have everything to work together.

I have the 550 a Motorola Razr phone and a Scala rider team set. I can hear the Zumo's directions in my helmet and place and receive phone calls. I can even get my wife on an ongoing phone call using the teamset functions. You have to pair the phone to the Zumo. Normally, there is a function called find me in your phone. Refer to your equipment documentation. The Zumo should "see" the phone and pair with it. Then, you have to do the same with your headset. The documentation explains how to do it. There is a setup in the Zumo for bluetooth where you can choose if you want everything in your headset or just the phone. If you select everything, you'll get the Zumo's directions, phone calls and music if you use the Zumo to play MP3's in your headset. My setup works great! I used an audio wire and hooked the audio output of the Zumo craddle to the audio input on my Interstate. That way, if I play MP3's I got the music in my bike speakers. I also get the Zumo's directions in the speakers. When I get in heavy traffic and I want to make sure that I don't miss a direction, I just switch the bluetooth on the Zumo to get everything in my headset, then I hear the directions directly in my helmet. I just love that thing. You'll find out that you will not want to leave without it anymore!  cooldude
