I got a 97 Valk last month and it is/was in rough shape but the basics were there and seemed that the things I would have changed were the parts in "less than good" shape.

This bike came from Riverside FLA. and was owned by a fellow named Calvin. It seems that when he passed away, he left no will and no heirs.

Big Mike helped me get the bike, but it had no title. I was able to get a clear title based on the above story of Calvin. The MI SoS was able to procure more information on the bike. Of course that info could not be shared with me.

So I am asking if anyone has any more info, such as approximate mileage and other pertintent information.
The motor turns over freely, but there was water in the sparkplug recesses. I was informed that some VRCC members were instrumental in the rescue from Calvins property.

My life isn't going to change if I don't have the info, but it seems like it could turn into a good story. Call it history or provenence,...whatever. But I know the story or owners of the other three Valks I have bought, this might be the best tale yet.

This is what it looked like when got the bike from Big Mike (pic posted before)

I've lived in Florida almost my entire life and I've never heard of Riverside.  I googled it and it seems to be a suburb of Jacksville.  The other side of the state from me.

There are Florida members in the Jacksonville area, they don't come here.

What county was the tag issued in?  That should help a bunch.  Should be listed on the registration.

The only Riverside I know of is in Jacksonville. I lived in Jacksonville for 12 years. Never heard of anyone named Calvin.

According to M/S Streets & Trips, Riverside appears to be a small community on the SW side of Deland, which is NE of the Orlando metro area. That's Volusia County, on the St. Johns river. Don't really know any more than that, I had to look it up myself but don't know if that's the place for sure. There's a number of locations in Fla. that have "Riverside" attached to its name so I wouldn't hang my hat on just that one.
