Must admit.  Don't know if this is a new noise or not, but I just noticed it today. My front brakes hiss when applied. I replaced the front pads when I got the bike in the spring of '10, due to wear , and a leaky fork seal. I used Honda pads, and Thoroughly cleaned, disassembled, and cleaned the rorots, and other bits. But the hiss. The rotors are straight, and true. Ideas?

It sounds pretty normal if the noise is coming from BOTH calipers.  If you have the axle not quite in all the way the left caliper has troubles .....just make sure the axle is in and the space (gaps) between the two forks and the calipers all looks even

The ebc brand does hiss, no problems, though.  Never had oem hiss, most honda dealers sell the ebc brand, however it is not oem.  I don't mind as long as they don't sell them as oem.  They are quite a bit cheaper than oem.  Hoser   ???
