I have been in the Houston, TX area for the last couple of weeks and was heading home last night. I knew that hotglue and FB were hosting a mini "Gathering" (reception of sorts) for Dag of Norway on that same night, so I decided to ride by hotglue's place and see if there was anybody there yet to see... I was early getting there so I got to visit with hotglue and FB for a little while before the "riders" began arriving. Thanks to hotglue and FB for their hospitality and the fabulous meal that I was able to horn in on at the last minute.

Dag, it was very nice to meet you after talking back and forth on the VRCC board for so long. I enjoyed speaking with you and know that you were very busy meeting and greeting everyone who was in attendance there. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

I drove the eight and a half hours back to Mississippi last night, so I crashed as soon as I got inside and had a good long hot shower. It was great to see everyone again and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't take one picture while I was there, but hope that FB will share the great pictures that I saw her taking very soon. Take care ALL! Safe travels to Dag on your trip back home next week.

Thanks FB for those wonderful pics... You do a great job of photo taking, even if you do have an unorthodox style of clicking them off. You and hotglue are the "bestest", thanks for opening your home again for some of that wonderful BBQ and fixin's that you two know how to prepare so well. That was the best plate of food that I had all week and believe me I ate very well last week during my visit to the "big city". Y'all take a break now and rest up for a bit... Y'all "done" good! Thanks again!

Hotglue... Yep, I was glad to finally get home this morning... Man was the LAW ever out in force last night. I didn't get over 72 MPH all of the way home due to seeing one LEO after another the entire way here. I guess they are looking for more revenue since things are tight right now with the economy... I guess 72 beats 55 though.... hopefully we won't have to go that route again.

Thanks for that awesome brisket.... there ain't many things in this life that are better tasting to me... I do believe you have about got that Texas BBQ figured out after all of the practice you have had.

Dag.... The same back to you, it was great getting to meet you and over a big plate of BBQ at that.

That hotglue and FlamingoBabe are two of the most awesome folks that I know of anyplace on this good old earth.

I loved the photos/video and fully believe that you did capture the spirit of the mini gathering.

I was thinking when I was looking at your little video.... of just how special HG and FB are for hosting that "reception" of sorts for you personally and all of us other Valk folks in general. Not many folks would fire up that big ole bodacious BBQ pit for the few folks that managed to get by there and say hello to you and I think that just speaks volumes for those two.

Dag, I'm glad you made it home safely, that was a lot of traveling for you. Keep up the great work on your site and let us know when you add something new to the extensive collection of Valkyrie information that you have accumulated there.

Ride Safely!

P.S. FlamingoBabe was worried that there weren't going to be enough beans... she's used to cooking for about 150 folks... maybe more...  I'm sure there were plenty of beans to go around.... and meat... and boy howdy was it all GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Thanks again hotglue and FB! You two are "top drawer" in my book!
