I am really concerned about North Korea's appointment of the "dear leader", Kim Jung Ill 's youngest son to be the new leader of North Korea-- a nuclear power!

After all, Kim Jung Un (pronounced Kim's young-un?) had NO military experience whatsoever before daddy made him a four-star general in the military.  This is a snot-nose twerp who has never accomplished anything in his life that that would even come close to military leadership: he hasn't even so much as led a cub scout troop, let alone coached a sports team or commanded a military platoon.

So, setting that aside, next they make him the "beloved leader" of the country.  Terrific!!!

Oh, crap!  I'm sorry.  I just remembered that we did the same thing here,  we took a community organizer who has never worn a uniform and made him Commander-in-Chief; a guy who has never led anything more than an ACORN demonstration and made him the leader of this country.

Never mind.

No I am not.....

President Obama did not create the situation this country is in....

It was 8 years of deregulation, a war we didn't need, and the entire country spending like there was no tomorrow... People living over their heads and Banks that saw a way to make a Sh@% Load of money and nobody to slow them down (wonder who did the deregulation..mmmm???)... An education system that has been rotting for years (more than Cool and a government that tok a surplus and turned it into a deficit....

Even now our standard of living is still better than our parents and probably than any generation before.... I however have almost always paid cash for things, only used credit when I had to and paid it back as soon as possible.. Like our parents did.......

We got used to having our computers, TV, Dishwashers and soft toilet paper to wipe our a$$ 's and sinking us in a hole of credit unlike almost anytime in our history ( there might be other times or countries that i don't have knowledge of that had credit issues- I believe britain did at one time, but I might be wrong.)

And now, the economy has had a downturn- like it does ever 20 to 40 years... look at your history....
and everybody is looking for a whipping boy.....

I support what PRESIDENT Obama has done to better our economy, improve our schools and try to reform healthcare- Which has been on the agenda of every president to fix since Bush the first..... So far he's the only one who's done SOMETHING, The rest just let it slide and get worse....

If Congress had worked with him just a LITTLE bit and all parties (Demos included) had compromised for the betterment of the country we would not be in half the mess we are in now.. Instead everybody in congress has got their nose out of joint and is doing everything to make sure NOTHING gets done....

SO shall we have Mit Romney for Pres?????? Who did not serve and has a so so record in public office and enacted UNIVERSAL health care in Mass. and now wants to kill it for the country?!?!??!

Or maybe Newt???? A lying, fat cat adulterer that also almost went bankrupt?

Ron Paul???   If he could make up his mind about anything...... Also an intrenched government teat sucker...

SO, given the choices I will give our President support and a chance to finish what he started- for better or worse... So far he hasn't soiled a blue dress or blew all the cash we had or gotten us into an unnecessary and VERY expensive war (just the opposite) And was the guy in charge when they nailed Osama... Personally I think he has been

Okay.... I feel better...  This IS NOT personal against anyone, just my thoughts and beliefs....

FLAME SUIT ON.....

But I going out to work on the VALK...Seat project... now at least its Valk related...

Hey Brad,

Glad to see you can take a joke!  Personally, I'd like my brother-in-law to be president.  He's just as qualified as Barry or any of the others, but doesn't have the kind of coin it takes to run a campaign.  I'd like to hear your opinion on who was responsible for all the issues you referred to in your response, but please do so in a PM.  My original post was a joke (albeit a political one) and I don't want start a long political thread, humorous responses only please.

Hey Skin, I read it as a joke, but the followup apparently wasn't. Now, FWIW, a couple things re. the followup; first, I'm not a fan of everything Bush did, BUT...he did approach the Democratic Congress something like 16-17 times about taking actions to rein in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He was turned down every time. More recently, the Rep. controlled House has submitted to the Democratic controlled Senate over 20 (last I read) different proposals/bills for job creation. Again, last I read....without exception all have been stalled, no action taken and many have since died there. When one looks at the entire picture, it seems as though there's enough blame to go around for all involved.

And FWIW, I'm neither a Democrat or Republican, but sorely disappointed with both at this time. This year is going to interesting.....if not tiring.  Wink

Couldn't agree more.  If I don't joke about it, I'd go nuts.  I've said it many time before, I don't trust my government, and by that I mean our politicians.  I'd like people to at least THINK before they vote, and think about what is best for our country, not so much what is best for me.
