Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

No - my sensitivities are fine.   2funny  Thanks for asking.....

Just a lot of work and little play I am afraid.  Just got back from almost 45 days in Africa a couple of days ago.

Cranked Traveller up for the first time since May yesterday and ran some fresh gas through her - sure felt good.  Traveller only blew smoke for a minute and then ran like a top - gotta be impressed with a Valkyrie.  Gotta love that "roll on" power of the flat 6.  Never ceases to amaze me.  (Yesterday)

Been just hanging out in the hood and doing BBQ - Africa style for awhile I am afraid.

(View from our new staff house - taken from my bedroom window)

Got to spend Christmas over there as well.  Well, actually had my Christmas a couple of days ago when I got back from Africa.

Will post pictures and stuff when I get back on the road.  SHOULD be home for the GOTF I think - depending on visa issuance. Until then, safe winds folks.....(Didn't get much wind last time home since I blew my back out trying to chop a stump in the front yard - getting too old for that crap I reckon).  Safe winds 'till then.  (So many places to see - so little time).

Man, I really like the little Wee.  For a 650 - taken it to Florida and back and max GPS was 92 mph (passing a truck) on the superslab.  No want of power.  Does not have the "roll on" get up and go at speed of the Valk or anything, but no problem on the superslab for sure - just takes a lot more on the shift foot.  You will be amazed at the light weight and turn capabilities - can't wait to get her up in the twisties.

Got it to take up to Alaska and perhaps Copper Canyon in Mexico, but find myself on it a lot more than I thought I would just day in - day out.  50 mpg and over 5 gallon tank, so around 250 miles on a tank.  I had gotten her because some of the places I want to go are too much rough road/gravel to take a heavy cruiser on - in MHO.

Was looking at the Tenere as well - but they were just introducing it.  I picked up the bike new and dressed out (bags, windshield, engine guards, highway pegs, handguard, centerstand and skid plate) was still less than $10k.  I call this one the PO BOYS BEEMER.

Pros - suspension, brakes and weight - dependability, ease of maintenance and price.
Cons - buffeting (but the windshield took that away - have to cut it down though because I am looking through it - not what I wanted) and seat - but Alaskan Sheepskin helped there.
Speedo is less accurate than a Valk standard.  Stays about 5-7 mph off.  I suggest a GPS (my first one) to check for a more accurate MPH - especially when the LAW is out and about.

If you are looking for a cheap, dependable dual sport - nice bike.  Have not taken it down much dirt yet, but want to get over to the Canyonlands of Utah again - been checking a couple of roads I want to take her down.  She is not a Motocross bike for sure - but an adventure tourer that should be able to handle dirt and gravel if need be.  Will find out - beefing up my camping gear now.....  cooldude

All in all - out of 5 thumbs up, I give her a  cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

thanks for the wee review. glad you are liking it.
the tenere was considerably more than the wee, list at the dealer was 14K
but it was a larger motor also.
for the $ the wee sounds like a great option.
keep on riding and smiling.

BG.. if ya haven already sign up over at adventurerider.com..if the pics on the front page dont get ya salivatin..yer dead.. on the forum the strom are covered under the beasts section.. also check out stromtroopers.com  I have owned probably close 60 motorcycles over the years and never owned one as long as I owned the 6fiddy... they come w ABS too which is sweeeet.. the only reason I sold it was because I waned to do power on wheelies.. So I got the 1000 STROM... LOVE IT.. but there are several reasons why suzuki quit importing the V and keep importing the wee.. its A GREAT BIKE..WITH A GREAT MOTOR..
