Blotar and I will be there....I just got off the phone to reserve our room. Early Bird...I know we will need two tickets. I am working on my brother to get him to commit on going but he is still up in the air. Oh I forgot.....This is Dian!!! I know I never post anything and now I have changed my handle too. I guess I just like to confuse people. Anyway, we are looking forward to it, especially since we had so much fun last year.

"Old Spice means quality said the captain to the boseman."  Wish we were going but it doesn't look like it is in the cards this year. Too early to take vacation and too much work going on at the plant. New unit coming on line and 4 guys quit. in operations. Already over 200 OT this year myself.

As of Monday, the plan was for me to meet 5_19 in Hamilton (or Hico = pie, or Granbury = run down 51  cooldude) and meet up with everyone at ground zero Friday afternoon.  We haven't spoken since Monday, but that's the working plan.

Saturday morning ride, lunch on the road, back in plenty of time to make dinner at the High School.  Then back to Motel for kicking tires and telling lies.

Sunday heading back to point of origin.

As before Chuck and I are heading up on Thursday.  Planning on doing a pre-ride of the route on Friday and being back at Motel by early afternoon to meet folks.  Come on up a day early if you have the inclination.

I've never been to "Point Of Origin".  Is that near "Cut And Shoot"?

(:

The plan sounds good.  We're trying to get over there for it.

Just checked the flights in to and out of Austin for next weekend. the 3 flights on Friday are oversold as well as the flights home on Sunday. I also checked San Antonio and the flights are bad also.  Nancy has to be back that Monday to run payroll, so it looks like we will have to sit this one out.  you guys have a GREAT time.  T.P.

Well, forgot I took off this Friday, so we will be leaving early Friday morning.  Well, early is relative...  Smiley

I won't be at the Wed dinner, but if you all decide on something for Friday's  Houston to Austin leg let me know and I may tag along.  Looking like cool mornings for sure ahead of us in Austin.

I am taking Friday off, so my goal was to leave mid morning Friday (9 or so?) after the AM rush hour.  Of course if it raining cats and dogs I might hold out an hour or two to see if it lightens up.  I can meet you guys west or NW as we normally try to do.  Thanks, I should have been more clear in my post.

I attempted to have a departure planning discussion last night at the meeting, but we did not have a quorum.  Out of 7 people present, 3 aren't going, 2 are going early for the pre-ride, 1 is riding alone for other reasons, and that left me to be the "group ride".
So, we'll discuss it on forum.  I'll start two other topics here, one for the AM group, and one for the PM group.  Fred and Jimmy:  I'll be in the PM group.  Please jump over there so we can talk about departure times/meetup locations.

Yeah, we're gonna be under a flash flood watch from 6:00PM tonight until 9:00AM Saturday morning with it starting to clear after that.  Won't be as bad to the West.  Please ride/drive safe out there and watch out for flooded roads.  Creeks in this area will rise up faster than you think and become raging rivers within minutes!

I plan to cage it over to the Motel after work this evening, so I hope to see some folks there!   Smiley
