Could have been a terrible crash.

Very destructive to say the least.

Bike totaled but repairable.

Took out a 30mph road sign and landed down the hill in a tree.

Greg however thankfully escaped serious injury but damaged his great looking Interstate with no Collision Insurance.

If anyone would like to pitch in and help Smooth Rider with bits and pieces that you may not need anymore.

Contact SmokinJoe or Lucky 13 as they are some of his closest friends and riding buddies.

Greg hamming it up for the camera while waiting for the tow truck to crane his favorite ride up the hill to safety

As usual Greg is weathering yet another storm, what a trooper.

We need a place to post what is needed...needs to be prioritized some how as well. What needed to make it run, what needed to make it ride,to make it whole again and what needs to make it purdy again. I got some pieces.................

looks like it could have been a lot worse.  Greg is a great rider, he won't be off long.  Put up a list of what he needs and if I have something that will help, I'll be glad to donate it.

As it just happened today at about 12pm, not sure.

He lost most of the interstate fairing.

Handlebars.

May go tourer style, but not sure.

The bike is still straight but a speed limit sign and pole was cut into and that did the most damage.

Good point to what you are saying though.

Will get a list together soon.

Thanks

I just meant that some of the "less than perfect " pieces laying around may save another Valk from pinwall hell. I have some cosmetically challenged pieces and a few that are good and have not been installed yet. Wink

It may just be the angle of the front on shot, but it sure looks like that front end is twisted in relation to the motor..might want to have that frame checked. Unfortunately, I have no parts available, but I am sure there is plenty of parts that will be sent Greg's way.

I have a right Interstate engine guard in my garage, but I'm guessing it looks just like Greg's.

Keep us up to date as he continues to inventory the damage.  Maybe I'll find something he needs.

I have an interstate outer fairing, has some rash on the right side from a lay down, but it is repairable, nothing that some bondo won't repair.  Glad to donate it if he cannot find a better one.

Will dig through my boxes of bits this week. I may have a set of the older style turnsignals             (2 screws in the lens) with the clamps if Std signals will fit.  If I can find em I guess $free.99 would be a fair price.

What a bummer!  But being able to walk away from something that scary is a great outcome.  Glad to see that Greg was OK.  Brings tears to my eyes seeing that beautiful Valk in the trees.

Besure to let Smokinjoe know what you would like to donate trhough an PM or personal message,

The outer fairing would be needed I am sure.

The right side engine guard is another item mentioned above he needs.

Greg I am sure will take care or the shipping.

All a matter of logistics.

I remember when Rick V wiped out and had a heart attack and a lot of the VRCC Brother/Sister Hood helped him out immensely.

One member even nursed him back to health at that families expense, and even did the installation of parts on his bike at their place.

Great Bunch of nice giving folks here that help those that need it. Amanda Zimmer and others come to mind.

I have a handle bars off a 99 standard.  Nothing wrong with them.  I had an accident and they thought the bars were bent but turned out to only be the grip.  You can have them for free.  Just let me know where to send them.
