I don't really have a dog in this fight. Normally I'd marginally be for LSU, but I'd like to see if a Bama win might be the straw that finally breaks the BCS crap and get's something decent in it's place. It's only going to get worse next year with A&M joining the SEC.

The last game was played in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
This match is in the Superdome, which is the next best thing to Tiger Stadium, Death Valley.
The Superdome is located in a quaint little place called NOLA.
That stands for No One Likes Alabama.
Bring your earplugs, it's gonna get loud.
Tigers by 14 points.

Line opened with LSU favored by 1 1/2. Now Bama favored by 2 1/2. Must be a lot of people betting on Bama.

If you don't like defense, don't watch...there's no other team in the country that could hold LSU or Bama to no touchdowns besides each other...probably why both are playing for THE "National" championship...,. Sounds like a little "SEC" envy to me.... Dave

Me: "Looks like those over confident LSU fans needed some stronger trash talk."
Her: "Hey, it's not over 'til the fat lady sings."
Me: "The big woman is running the scales even now."
My condolences to the LSU supporters. Congratulations to the Tide.

Two great defenses but after watching most of the game, it's 15 to 0 Alabama, No doubt in my mind who's better tonight. Personally, my favorite team is whoever is playing Nebraska. Edit: Make that 21 to 0 Alabama. Didn't know they put crow into that gumbo.

So LSU beat Alabama two months ago.... and now the Tide Reauxlled all over the Tigers.
So when's the rematch so we can get a clear winner?

Trash-talking and disrespect for other teams don't win games...defense does...if you can't score, you can't win.... It might not be as "exciting" as a game where each team scores every time they touch the ball and the one who has the ball last wins...and the score looks like a basketball game... But I'll take less "excitement" if it means winning a national championship! Dave

Hey Dave (BD64). Wish I had known you were gonna be there. Would love to meet you. I was on B Street for New Years Eve and was in Jackson Square most of the day on Sunday. Lot's of Blue/gold and crimson shirts everywhere and everyone shouting at the other. Lot's of trash talk. Would have been nice to see a friendly face. Sorry I missed you. Larry

Disclaimer: I am not a Bama fan.
The truth: There is no doubt in anyone's mind that knows anything about football which team was better last night and last night was when it counted. Congrats Bama, an awesome display of who wanted it more.

Dayum I gotta eat Crow. Dont know what Miles was thinking, Jefferson looked like Junior High, Think if Lee was allowed in, we may still got beat, but not skunked. One first down in the first half was shameful. Dont know why Jefferson was convinced that hes primarily a running back and not a quarterback. He just would not throw the ball.

As with the first game, 'Bama outplayed LSU this time. The major difference was this time their kicker was able to produce, unlike the first meeting. I've heard many of the sportcasters say that in the first game LSU didn't win...Alabama lost. Sounds contradictory I know, but the outcome would have been much the same as this game IF they would have been able to make even ONE field goal. But they didn't so the "W" went to LSU. I had been reading some reports recently about 'Bama working on their kicking game, guess it paid off big time.

Hey, Larry, hate that I missed you...we were on Bourbon and in Jackson Sq. Sunday afternoon, so we probably passed pretty close to each other...place was crazy, wasn't it? I kept getting hit with beads from the balconies! On Monday, Bourbon was probably 4x as crowded....shoulder to shoulder people...we avoided it for the most part. Dave
