I like the song and these guys do a great job. If nobody is around to hear me I'll exercise my basso profundo along with them. Like many other things at my age....it ain't what it used to be, but I still like to "make a joyful noise." I guess the operative word there is "noise." http://www.godvine.com/Four-Top-Singers-Perform-Hallelujah-So-Beautifully-1000.html

Not Hallelujah per sey. It's Pachelbel's cannon with her singing "Hallelujah."

My favorite version was sung by my Tracy. As I've mentioned in the past, she was an accomplished vocalist. She succumbed to cancer nearly six years ago and now sings in the REAL Hallelujah chorus. She would be 50 now and it rips me apart inside every time I hear this song.
Sorry for the personal bit, only a few will understand.

No apologies, I feel honored to have read it.

I hope I didn't offend or hurt by posting another version, nothing will take that place of the memory of how the song she sang sounded. Do you have a recording of Tracy singing it? I had recently been watching shows about people with near death experiences and the common theme among them all was they felt so loved, joyful and at peace, some really became agitated at coming back. It doesn't help missing them but she is singing to a very important audience now.

No, you didn't offend, I knew where you were coming from. And no, I don't have a recording of that piece. I have some others but find it difficult to listen to them. As parents, we shouldn't have to bury our children. It stays with you until death, now my eldest may follow....barring a miracle.
