two Brothers exhaust

I just ran across a two bro 6 into 2 exhaust with cross over pipe, is this a better system for making power than a stock exhaust with glass packs, or do the two Bro pipes have bigger header tubes than the stock pipes.

They were advertised to add 10 HP with no rejetting. They are very hard to come by as they haven't been made in years. I have a set on my bike that I shortened the cans on and removed most of the glass out of. I also had the headers coated. They sound and run great but aren't very pretty.

I have a set on mine too but I have nothing to compare them to. As for looks, yea, not very pretty and easy to burn your boot on.

Some of the other good things about them are that they have polished stainless steel headers so if you get any scratches or stains, you can polish them out. Also, the cans come off easily which makes rear wheel maintenance a snap.

I have set on my 99 standard, SS headers with carbon fiber cans. I cut mine down a little to equal the stock legnth and took the fiber glass out. Sounds like a small block chevy, nice and deep , but pops a little in decell.

Anything other than stock head pipes are going to be larger ID because stock are double walled from the head to the cover by your heel.
