Hey all...

I was thinking after looking things over of possibly making some kind of ducts or tunnels to funnel cool air from in front of the radiator to the air box area..... cooler air into the air box usually means better performance.... And it might also relieve some of the heat.... Kinda like the 'Ram Air' set up on alot of muscle cars....... that and I want a new winter project

Thought about trying to use the upper ducts on the I/S pod.... don't get alot of air on me from them anyway... also though about removing the plastic covers in the frame just ahead and below the tank and ducting air thought there..... coming right between the forks..... there seems to be some room... like to get some flexi hose like you see on some car air duct to try... or just some black plastic ribbed flexi hose..... Any way I do it, will try to make it not visible.....   Or should out some big ass scoops on top of the pods???? LOL

Thoughts?  worth it?  I know that cool air induction can sometimes increase HP in cars like up to 5%..

search my posts for pics.
I removed the air baffle in the airbox lid and used it to sealed the back of the lid and put two round holes in the front of the lid. now it sees pressurized air from in front of the bike. requires different main jets and carb tunning of needles and pilot jets.
not much room to do much of anything else due to forks coming so close to the frame at full lock.

done right more midrange and top end HP and better MPG at hwy cruise.

my airbox mods
http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,8248.0.html

38 pilots, factory pro needles, one step richer front carbs, 110 main jets and dial-a-jet.
will work with shimmed OEM needles also with I/S slide springs. I like the throttle response better with the FP needles and std slide springs.
