I've read earlier that MothersĀ® Powerball is great for polishing the wheels on a Valk. Any recommendations on what type of polish is the best to use on the wheels. Mines seem to have water spots. But after hand polishing the wheels, or at least the clear coat layer on the wheels, the watermarks are still there. I've been using clear coat polish. And another question, which is better .... the large ball (below left) or the 'mini ball'? As always, thanks in advance.

Flitz polish is da bomb!  (http://www.flitz.com/p-16-flitz-polish-paste.aspx)  I use it all over my Interstate and it works great.  Does a great job on your wheels when used with the powerball.

I had water stains, or some kind of stain, on my VTX wheels (2 years of neglect before I started really keeping up on them).  I used a soft green pot scrubber with Soft Scrub w/bleach to clean the wheels good, then a Brillo pad to smooth them out and finally Mother's Mini Power Ball and White Diamond... looked great.  Did the same with my Valk.  Now I just give them an annual Mini Power Ball touch up w/White Diamond in the Spring and maybe a touch up by hand in the Summer.

The Mothers balls are pretty good for polishing, but for deep corrosion or stains hard cotton wheels work better.

You mention clearcoat on the wheels. What year is your Valk? Up to 2000, the wheels weren't clearcoated. 2001 and up had polished and coated wheels. I wasn't aware you could polish a coated wheel.

Have you looked into the stuff they use to clean aluminum boat hulls ?? The cleaner removes ALL stains, etc. and turns the aluminum to a whitish color until you start polishing it. Click Here

2000 Tourer. It looks like there's some thin coating of some kind on the aluminum surface. If there isn't then the bare aluminum still is in relatively great shape.

no, I haven't tried Aluminator before, or even heard of it til now.
