Talk about a small world...I helped design that plant a few years ago.  Range Fuels was having trouble with their methods back then and were being threatened with losing their funding many of times.  I am surprised that they were able to build the plant in the first place.

According to the article they were making alcohol from wood.

I've said this before, if they could find a way to make ethanol from kudzu that GA would BE RICHER than Saudi Arabia ever thought of being.

DO NOT RUN ETHANOL IN MOTORCYCLE ENGINES.
10% ethanol is the highest percentage that can be safely run in current M/C engines.
15% ethanol will void the engine warranty on every motor by all major manufacturers because it raises the safe operating temperature of the engines, thus burning the vaves and pistons.

The newest proposed ethanol based fuel (20%) would work in rotary (Wankel) motors, but not in the four stroke (or even modern two stroke) motors.

Ehtanol fuels are less effiecient, thus lower mileage, and negates the cost savings that you might feel you are getting.
