Good words, Czuch.

I wouldn't dream of insulting the woman who chose to stay with me by talking about who I might've had.  Honestly, I'm sure most of the girls I dated would have kicked me to the curb a long time ago.

My woman takes care of me when I need it and puts up with a lot of junk, past and present, along the way.

I remember Karen Valentine.  Anybody have a current picture to make us feel better?

Now:

I don't know if this makes it better or worse.

She's not a cute, sexy 20 something yr old any longer.

But, NOT bad for a 64 yr old.

Like many adults my life includes a "History", including many miserable years married to the "wrong" person.

There are "old" girlfriends that may cross my mind from time to time, and I sometimes find myself wondering how they are doing and what they have done with their life.

But, one thing that doesn't cross my mind is, "What if" ?

There is no doubt in my mind that I am now with the person that I am meant to be with.

She's not perfect, but neither am I, and together we are both "better".

So we are "perfect" for each other.

Our ladies who put up with us now, are Saints in the making.

The ones that got away are just that, no where to be found.

I have one I still dream about.

But that's all. 1st loves are great.

But the one that said I do.

Would not undestand.

Stanley,

I don't think that's your biggest mistake in life....

I think your BIGGEST mistake in life is posting her picture on an international website in a post like this WITHOUT her permission....

Can you say INVASION OF PRIVACY???   tickedoff

Not to mention the fallout if your wife/family sees this.... uglystupid2

There was this hot blond when I was in high school. I was in the 7th grade and she was a Junior. She was the girl that me and my geeky friends would giggle and fantasize about. I never will forget the first time I saw her. I turned red as a beet, and got so tongue tied it's a wonder I didn't choke. If somebody had suggested that I try to go out with Miss American, the idea couldn't have seemed any more far fetched than the idea that I'd would ever be with this angle.
I went off to college and on a trip home found out she gotten married. Not that I ever had a chance, but it broke my heart anyway. And I just couldn't believe the doofus she married. What was a goddess like her doing with him? I continued in school, then moved back home and went to work for the bank. To my surprise the cute little blond, who had turned into an all out nuclear hottie by this time, also worked for the bank as a bookkeeper. Even more shocking, the doofus had left her.  (To this day, he'll tell anybody who will listen what an idiot he was. I agree.)

It took me weeks to work up the nerve to ask her out. I arranged a movie and dinner date with another couple, both friends of mine, so I'd have a nice safe double date to ask her out on. Catching her in the break room, I managed to squeak out an invitation before my throat completely closed off.
That was 32 years ago.

I still can't imagine what a goddess like her is doing with the doofus she's married to now. I'm just glad she is.

my biggest regrete was not telling my parents to go to hell when they wanted me to take over the family business,  to later realize they just wanted free labor until they sold it, then retired at the age of 53, only to give all thier money to my oldest brother that NEVER helped them build the business!!  had i lived my own life instead of living thiers (like my father did) i'd probably be living a much different life.  although, thankfully, my wife lived through much of what i had to put up with (she worked for my parents also) and she knows what my parents did to make thier money and how me and my other brother got screwed.  i got over it, sadly, my other brother hasn't yet, but he doesn't have a wife like mine.

X2 Willow.

I am very, very grateful for my wife and I hope for your sake yours never sees this post. Sorry to be harsh, but it comes off very disrespectful to her. (At least in my opinion.)
I know your a good guy, just offering a different perspective of your statement that perhaps you hadn't considered.
BTW, Karen Valentine was also a fav of mine, but Valerie Bertinelli was the one I always thought was gorgeous. (And yes my wife knows)  Grin

I married my HS sweet heart. 13 yrs together. Had a baby  Cry and she cheated on me. Big D in 06. Best thing I could have done. So many arguments about me riding or wanted to ride. Met Kit and now we argue about why we are not riding! She's one of the guys.
Still good friends with my ex tho.

Memories are good Steamer. Just dont look back and wish on how it would have been. Makes it harder for the future.
