I don't care what anyone else drives, rides, or flys and I am not envious of anyone else's toys. I realize that others may have something that costs more or performs better than what I have and that does not bother me in the least. One's posessions, race, religion, or political outlook does not make one person a bit better than another. They just seem to divide us into different groups and that is unfortunatlely the way of human nature. The dude just had to have something to say that would make him feel superior at the time or maybe he was secretly wishing that he didn't have that big GW payment each month. Each of us never know how we will react to any situation until we come face to face with it. I think that the proper reaction was taken in this situation. The sun comes up tomorrow and life goes on, but don't count on it when you are dealing with an Old White Guy that has seen a hell of a lot in this life...Jim

Like others have said, I suspect that he is right, "old white guys".
I really do not have a problem with that, the truth is the truth, no matter who says it or why.
Now ask me if I care?
As for the poor part, he missed that one, based on the number of Valkyries riders that have multiple Valkyries and multiple motorcycles in addition to their cars/trucks.
I suspect that most have a Valkyrie because that is what they wanted. And that is as it should be. If he has a problem with that?
Now ask US if we care?
Many poor old white guys, founded, fought for and made this country, I am kinda proud to be associated with them.

eVEERY BLACK IN THE USA REPUBLICAN OR DEM. VOTED FOR OBAMA, WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU w HO IS THE RACIST??? think!!! The bad thing about using "every" or "none" is that it only takes ONE exception to prove it wrong. I know several black people (young and old) that didn't vote for Hussein. One said he was a moron, another said he was a Muslim-in-disguise....doesn't matter the reason, they didn't vote for him.

If you had told him "OK, LETS RACE" who would have won????????? I've raced a lot of bikes from stopped to around 110mph........never have raced a Goldwing 1800.......what say ye?????
I raced my boss, he on his 2010 'Wing and me on my Valk. Best out of three. He was faster off the line but by the middle of second gear he was a memory. I think he'd have had me in a longer race but in the 1/8th, the Valk is king.

I am a "self respecting Black Man" and I love my Valk. I don't think anyone who rides one of these is poor. We have Goldwing and Harley riders here at work and it seems they have to run down Valkyries to feel good about what they are on. I've owned two Goldwings and currently own two bikes, GW and the Valkyrie. Goldwing will be up for sale this spring.

I know of a few young white guys that ride valks. I'm one of them, 26 years old and love my old white guys bike.
And I hope more of you younger guys get to know and support the Valkyrie! I've seen this happen with Ham Radio Operators and model railroading regarding only older guys being involved. There's so many hobbies out there that are typically supported by the older generations and hardly any younger people are getting interested in these great pass times. I'm hoping that more of the younger set ( white, black, purple or green ) get to know the Valkyrie and keeps this great bike going for years to come!

Living in NYC for most of my life and being married to a black woman has put me into many positions that the original poster identified......Reverse Racism. Actually, there is no such thing, but (as another poster pointed out), black people can't be racist, only white people can. This is HUGELY believed to be true, especially in the urban settings where the bleeding heart liberals have created this mess. You knew it had to get political somehow!!!

No machine is perfect, but anyone who "runs down" the Valkyrie is just ignorant or like you said, is just trying to pump up their own ride by dissing someone else's.

My 23 year old daughter is working her way up, capacity wise, through my small collection of bikes. Next stop, one of my Valks. I have bowed to the inevitable, and am currently, secretly, planning a slightly lowered and narrowed seat. And looking forward to the Summer....

I'm fat old and white. Nobody stood on my neck with a pistol in my ear and forced me to buy my Valkyrie. I test rode a lot of big cruisers. My search ended when i threw a leg over the phat ghurl. As soon as i fired up 1520cc and six cylinders i was as good as hooked forever. Letting the clutch out in first gear-ah h3ll i'm preaching to the choir. Had i not found this board the Valkyrie STILL fulfilled job # 1-it makes me glad i own her. RIDE SAFE

When I bought my I/S 12 years ago, I wasn't old. Never had ridden one and had just read about them. The first time I saw an Interstate was when it was delivered. Never even thought about a new gOldwing. My 1981 gOldwing looked more like a Valkyrie than it did a 2000 gOldwing and that's the real reason I went with the Valk.

Hey...I resemble that remark. I just didn't know it was an insult. I am an "old white guy", at least to my children.
He obviously wasn't very well educated or street smart or he would know better.

Sorry, Jason, you are just to young to ride a Valkyrie, I suggest you turn over your bike to the first person eligible for medicare who shows up at your door. I'll be there in an hour as soon as I pick up a couple at Stude31's house. Hoser

So, I guess statistically he is right but he forgot to complete the description...let me help:
Valks are for "old XXX white guys"
XXX= knowledgeable, experienced, resourceful, clever, gifted for living so long, tough, proven, gun totting, good looking...white guys
SO DON'T PISS ME OFF. BUT DON'T LET HIM BOTHER YOU EITHER. EVERY MAN'S HOME IS HIS CASTLE, EVERY MAN'S RIDE IS HIS JOY. LOOK IN THE MIRROR... HE'S THE ONLY ONE YOU HAVE TO PLEASE
