I heard a story about ex-prez Clinton today

the host of the radio program was impressed that Clinton could remember his wife's name after just meeting her the night before.
I read one better then that in Ronald Kessler's book 'in the president's secret service' his protection detail went with him to a restuarant that he was at about a year before. Clinton recognized a waiter from the first visit and called to him by name, then asked him about his father.
the young mans eyes watered up and he said he'd lost his father. Clinton said he was sorry to hear that and told the secret service agents the young mans dad was sick the first time he was here.
the one word that describes Clinton is personable. I don't agree with his politics but he has an amazing gift to be able to put peoples faces together with names and remember a conversation from a year ago? amazing.

As someone who's terrible with names I find that impressive.

Tom, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what is being referred to is Clinton remembering the host's wife's name from the night before. After meeting her only once. That's remarkable, considering I do a double take some mornings when I first look in the mirror.

That does impress me. I don't always remember my cousins names. As a tech person, I remember a lot of technical things but not people very well. I'll frequently remember a bike but not the owners name.
Something I've noticed about really successful people, in particular those not in technical fields is they remember faces and names to an extent I can't even imagine.

Here i thought i had the corner on the market NOT remembering names.
The more people i meet the more names i tend to forget.
Ah well-makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing i'm not alone.

He's a very intelligent guy, obviously. Rhodes scholar, master networker. Heck, he romanced the nation by playing sax on MTV.
As stated, I didn't like his politics it I've heard that he can light up a room and make everyone in it feel special. (not just the ladies) LOL
