I thought I'd pass this information along for those of us who may have spilled a little oil on the garage floor....

Take some Mineral Spirits and pour the fluid onto spot, saturate it good and let it spread out 8-12 inches beyond the spot, then cover the entire area with cat litter, put it on thick, enough that you can't see the concrete and leave it set for a couple of hours...the newer clumping kind will absorb faster...sweep it up and you're done, if its an older stain you may have to repeat...make sure you leave the doors open you'll need the ventilation....just thought I pass it on.. cooldude

It's been my experience that success really depends on the porosity of the concrete and how long that oil stain has been there.  I've seen some that I don't believe will ever come up but, you're method is a valid one.  I've seen it work several times.  Thanks for posting it.   cooldude

A little portland cement brushed in will get at those little hard to reach places as well.

muratic acid works but it leaves a clean spot that doesnt match the rest of the driveway  Smiley  Dawn dishsoap concentrate dissolves just about anything greasy.

My Harleys don't leak oil.

Don't use oil.

SO what you have heard about the infamous leaky hog's.

Is old news brother.

But thanks Don for the stain removal tip.

I drive old Chevys and sometimes they come home with a ford stuck in the grill and the Old Fords do leak.

I've got a 14 year old Lincoln with 170k on it that I really like, drips a little bit.  I just park it on the gravel part of the driveway, helps keep down the dust!  Shocked  Grin  Hoser
