No, it's not because I have a big wooden hand! It's in part because of what I do. Here's some "behind the scenes" stuff from a few projects I've been working on this New Year. First up was a commercial shot for HEB grocery stores where aliens from outer space were involved. This spot will premier during the Super Bowl, so I can't show too much...

These iPhone pics leave something to be desired, but the last scene took close to 100,000 watts of power to light up and took place in a corn field the other side of Sabinal. We spent four days shooting this commercial at different locations -- it is going to look awesome!

Not as exciting, but fairly interesting was a spot shot in Waco for a David Dewhurst commercial. Just in case you may not know, Dewhurst is running for US Senate. The location was Hobbs Bonded Fibers where they make things like batting for quilts and insulation for your cars and trucks. The owners are friends with Dewhurst, so that's why we shot at their factory...

Don't know how they get that stuff to fit in this small bag! The owners were super sweet and sent me home with a big bag of their cotton batting. Apparently, they overheard me talking about the quilts Dena is working on for the grand babies!

There's a new beer coming out from Shiner called Wild Hare Pale Ale. They wanted the spots to look like the old Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom...

I did my best to mimic the old show lighting complete with big shadows on the wall! And yes, I did get some samples -- two six packs worth -- it's pretty good!

Stranger than fiction -- I did some lighting for Oracle at one of their big server farms. Security was very tight there, so no pics. They actually kept our phones in a safe, searched us before going into the place and had armed guards escort us to the bathroom! All this after doing background checks on me and my crew two weeks prior to filming...no kidding! The facility just happens to be one of the busiest information hubs in the world. Oh, and they did not give us an address to find the place. They only gave us a vague description of where it was located. ???

And the other part of why they call me f-Stop...
I ride an F6 Valkyrie!

Safe winds y'all!
