Spotted them on Craigs List in the Tampa area, called him up...still had them. Went and picked them up today, about 100 miles one way but had to take the SUV in beautiful weather. When I got there, took one look in the end....piggies intact and no baffles drilled. Totally factory, and their overall condition is near perfect. Only need to wipe them off after installing on the $1700 bike I just bought.  Cheesy  Here's the kicker; $180.00

That's not all. As we were loading them in the SUV he mentioned he had an OEM seat and rear pillion, said he had listed them for $50 but would probably take less. Told him I only brought enough for the pipes, and finished loading. Standing next to the car, he mentioned it again and it sounded like he just wanted to unload everything. Said he would take a lot less, like maybe $25. I reached for my wallet, only had about $15 so my wife handed me a $10 and he went inside to get the seats. When he came back out, he also handed me a cruiser bar. I think I recall seeing them for around $65. In the end, the seats are perfect as is the cruiser bar. I'll use the seats on the repair bike since the existing seat is messed up from a fire.  Cost; $25

It was a good day, made even better by the fact my wife felt strong enough to travel with me. Health issues usually restricts her to under 30 min. in the car, so today was a double blessing.  Smiley

Next week I'm going to visit my eldest daughter in Louisiana and picking up the $1700 bike to haul back to Florida. The next couple months are going to be interesting.

John, I figured you would do a custom leather seat on it.
Are you documenting everything with pictures to share with the rest of us "unlucky Valk hunters" ?

Custom seat, don't think so, a little pricey. I'll go through the bike from stem to stern like it was going to be my own, then sell it. Was just looking for a good project and this appeared to be it. Will pick it up next week and haul it home to Florida. Unless I find a good deal on new hard bags, I'll just unload the bag mounts. Don't plan to put anymore $$ into it than needed, just what it takes to return it to pristine running condition. That, you can count on.  cooldude
