Ohio Rides?

I was just wondering if there are any Ohio rides or gatherings ever planned and if so when?  I have not seen a bunch of Valkyries in Ohio since the Honda Homecomings and those were quite a few years ago.  There are a lot of scenic highways in SE Ohio with lots of hills and twistys and it would be a great place to have a ride...

The NE Ohio group (not an official group) consists of about 10 or so Valkyrie riders. We are mostly from Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown areas (plus poor henry008 who is 90 miles from everybody). We ride pretty frequently in NE & SE Ohio and into western Pennsylvania.





I see that Groveport is a bit far of a distance to join us for a day ride, but your welcome to. If you are on Facebook we have a page - NE Ohio Valkyrie Riders & Friends which we use to plan our rides, etc. If interested, PM me your name and I will friend you and add you to the group.

Rick and Theresa Wiles, owners of Value Accessories host a SE Ohio Ride every year in early August. I haven't been able to make one yet, but I hear they are nice rides. If you search on "SE Ohio Ride" you should get the threads from prior years.

I also live in Akron, I did not know about an Ohio group!Sometimes I see I S on Brown St @ a wings place but I'm always on my way someplace (running late) and don't have time to stop.

I should start paying more attention to the OH board since I live so close.  I'd love to hook up for a ride or three this summer.

You have Rick (Ike) and Steve (6-pak) in Akron who are still pretty active. We frequently meet as a group in Middlefield to go on rides as it is central to Cleveland/Mentor - Akron - Youngstown. Keep an eye on the Ohio board, we post pretty much all the rides we are going to do. Also if you use Facebook, friend me, Pete Gibb -  I will hook you up as well with NE Ohio Valkyrie Riders & Friends page which we commonly use to coordinate get togethers

Bob, we frequently get over to Butler for breakfast and then up to Foxburg Winery... it's a nice day trip. Last year we rode into Pittsburgh to visit Primanti Bros. down in the Strip District. That is one I want to do agin and then ride areas around Pittsburgh. Same as above, the Ohio Board and Facebook to keep track of us.

We actually have a camp up near Moraine St. Park just west of Butler...and I work downtown right between PNC Park and Heinz Field.  I don't have Facebook...I keep telling my wife I need to get an account (she has one)...but as the weather gets nicer, I'll try and keep an eye on the OH board.
