We may or may not be going.  Waiting for results on a poll.  Please vote in the poll.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm following a previous route planned by Patron and here are his notes, as I can't write it any better:

"My planned route will be thru Gunter, Tioga, Valley View, Forestburg, St. Joe, crossing the Red River via the Indian Bridge, Ryan, Waurika, Hastings, Temple to Lawton and to Meers.  Depending on what time we get to the area, we may go to the top of Mt. Scott before lunch.  Most of this route will be country riding with a lot of wheat fields and cattle as the scenery.  Then a short trip thru the wildlife refuge before heading home.  The return will be a little more direct; probably east out of Lawton to Hwy 81 and south to 82 to Gainesville and back home.    This is a fairly long day and you need to prepare yourself and your scooter for it.  I would like to get an idea of how many people plan to attend. Please post to this thread if you plan on riding.  It will be a fun day."

NOTE:  Bring cash for your lunch - they don't take credit cards!

With any luck, some of our Oklahoma brothers might join and break bread with us.

This is almost a 500 mile round trip.  Be warned!

KSU would need to be early - about 8am to make the trip.  Meet at 7:30am at intersection of 75 and 380 in McKinney (SE Corner).

Here is the route:  http://g.co/maps/fvqfx

Wow, that's a commitment!  We would like to meet up with you in Valley View though if possible.  I'd say put us down for at least a maybe.

I've never been to Meers and I'm really looking forward to it.  Thanks for putting this together, RM!

One observation though...  Shouldn't the poll have an option for "Both"?    Cheesy

Not available either day.

Yoda and I have done that ride twice without taking the scenic route as you are.

It's going to be LONG day.

Wish I could go.

RM, if you're gonna head out 360 to 121 into McKinney, maybe we could hook up at the Chevron at 360 and Mid-Cities and ride to the meet point.

I'll try to refine this with approx times for meetups along the way. But that sound fine meeting at 360 and Mid-cities.

RM,
I am thinking reeeaaally hard about going! It would be mainly slab for me. If I leave at about 8:00 we could possibly meet somewhere near Ringgold (intersection of 81 and 82). RM what would be your EAT be for that location? It would take me about 2hrs and 45 min or 150 smiles to get there.

Terral, OK just across the Red River looks like the best place because it has a convenience store with a gas station.

Checked it on Google maps. The link didn't work Undecided

Looks close to the same distance I meant TIME. I will be traveling point A to B, while y'all travel C to B. Looks like I get to sleep in and don't have to leave until 8:15 or so.  2funny Remembering previous rides, KSU is usually delayed 15-20 minutes depending when ?.......? shows up!   Grin Grin
