Well, they are quite a departure from the usual. The balancing box looks a bit large to hide.
Can anyone tell me why the headers are not mirror images of one another and why the muffler mounting brackets are on the outside of the cans?
I'd sure like to see them mounted, and hear what they sound like.

It just occurred to me that maybe whoever took the picture mounted the cans reversed from their correct position.

Interesting find. I've sent Motad an email asking about their pipes for the F6C and specifically about the header pipe ID as compared to OEM. I'm thinking about using these pipes for my blown Valk. I'll follow up when they respond.

It's not a very good picture, for sure. Motad, who make them, are a UK firm that's been going for 40 years (one of the few left) and make among other things, the exhaust for the new range of Nortons and sporty cars.  |

The Valkyrie is not symmetrical... I guess that's their solution for making the pipes "fit up in there" good on each side... -Mike |

Not only that but the brackets should also be at the forward end. Maybe he also put them together with inlets/outlets reversed. |

That exhaust looks more like a chromed version on a goldwing 1500 system to me......I'm no expert by any means but they do look quite a bit alike. For a goldwing the hangers are in the correct locations as well as the dimpled area in the cans is the same as well. tmfp (the OP) linked an Ebay seller. I emailed Motad requesting a confirmation whether the exhaust system is indeed for a Valk since as you said there's none listed on the Motad webpage. The Ebay seller posted what seems like a Motad literature in the description. But perhaps he's also offering for sale the London Bridge in the see sellers other items. Just trying to be humorous.

Hi,
i have spoken to the dealer who has these advertised and made him aware that we have never tried our GL1500 system on the Valkyrie so cannot say whether it will fit or not.

The latest in this saga is this email I got this morning, from the E Bay vendor. Hi xx
I have spoken with Motad and you are quite right our listing is incorrect.
Interestingly enough they are very keen to get their hands on a Valkrie and design an exhaust to fit as there is a lot of demand (as we have recently found out!).
If your system needs replacing and you are prepared to leave your bike with Motad in Birmingham for a few days they would be interested in building a system and usually sell these at around half price to the doner of the bike!
Please let me know if you are interested.

I wouldn't think it would be too big a deal to make those pipes, the 1500 motor in a Valk is Still the same basic motor the Wing has, so the from the collectors back should be the only thing requiring attention.
