Yesterday was a beautiful day, mid-50s, blue skies, but had to do some work, so no riding for me.  However, today was going to be the same, so hooked the battery to the charger overnite to ride today.  No joy though - bike would turn over, but wouldn't start.  After 4 tries, battery was almost dead.  Bump-started her down the driveway and rode about 30 miles but afraid to turn her off, so rode back home and turned her off.  Tried to start back and nothing.  Took the battery out (a Yuasa) and going to Walmart to buy a cheaply made but not so cheaply priced battery so I can get some wind.  Would rather wait and buy another Yuasa, but hey...the road is calling and I'm burning daylight!

Don't knock the Wally World batteries. I replaced the original Yuasa with a Walmart battery after 5 yrs. "just because" it was 5 yrs. old. I ran that battery for 5 yrs. and replaced it "just because". It was still going strong and served me just as well as the Yuasa. I did buy a Yuasa this time because I was at my dealer & the price wasn't that much different.

You will have to forgive me if I have little sympathy for your riding time being impinged upon by a dead battery seeing as how I (and others who live up north) have this little thing called WINTER cutting in on our riding time.  And unfortunately, it will take more than a trip to Wal-Mart to fix.  uglystupid2

Jest kiddin'...glad you got 'er done!   cooldude

Sorry, Bob...we have winter here too - which means rain, rain, rain.  I work a lot which means no riding time and when we do have a pretty day, just have to take advantage of it.  Hope you and the rest of our Northern brothers get to ride soon.

Maybe you need a blue battery Dave, the blue ones always last the longest.. Grin
