Now that I have my windshield on the way. anyone have the instructions on installingit. I looked on the shop talk board and did not find anything on the subject. I do not figure it will be to hard. I could figure it out, but if someone has done it, might saved a few steps. Thanks

Remove both speaker panels. Four screw two on each side from bottom to remove chrome bezel. There are four bolts that hold shield on after you get this far. Be careful when tightening them back up and just tighten until the shoulder on the bolt hits bottom. I had a crack start in mine becaused I over did it on mine. Luckily it has never ran. Hopes this helps.

Jim the f4customs link from Jess shows almost everything ya need to know.
One Big Caution
The 4 screws on the speaker panels pass thru the panel and are retained by threaded brass inserts that are press fit into the fairing.
These screws ****very often*** 'freeze up' in these brass inserts.
Carefully loosen and remove the screws.
If the screws release cleanly, continue per instructions in the f4customs link.
If the panel screw spins and does not back out its a good bet the inserts has stripped in the fairing and is spinning with the screw.
It may need some prying to get the insert/screw to pop out of the fairing.
If this occurs; a repair will be needed.
Panel screw repair:
If the screw with insert comes out of the fairing seized together; you will need to 1) separate the pieces, and 2) epoxy the insert back into the fairing.
I have had this happen 3 times.
Carefully using pliers and screw driver I have been able to separate the pieces.
I then epoxy bonded the insert back into the fairing; taking care not to use too much epoxy; don't want it to get inside the insert.
Let cure overnight. (dont want to epoxy bond your screw to the insert)
At reassembly I ALWAYS put lots of anti-seizing compound on these 4 screws to prevent the problem from re-occurring.
