I was watching an auction on ebay for a spare final drive and this one is in really good shape but it ended up going for a crazy price.  $457.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/170767073267?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

They seem to be going up in price or just a bad time of year to look for a spare?

A really good price, especially compared to gold!  Guessing that they weigh minimum 10 pounds, times $1500/ounce, that's at least $240K!   uglystupid2
Sorry, couldn't resist...

Plus .... $86.39 shipping UPS Ground. Ridiculous. I checked the seller's 'other items' and his UPS shipping rates for those are just as ridiculous.

With a matched star hub that shows the spines are in good shape, plus a driveshaft?

New Harley Drive Belt. 125 bucks and you don't even have to bid.

Seems pretty simple to me.

But you can change the final drive without pulling the swingarm. ;-D
