I don't know what time we are meeting everyone else.  I guess I need to reread Mark's post and determine a time to leave.

On the other hand, Eli sure had an interesting route.

I've done most of that route before (southern portion up to Iola) but not the northern portion above there. I wanted to pre-ride it Sunday, but could not get into it. Everything below that is very nice as most have probably done that.

If this doesn't work, I'm done. This is from Cleveland to Centerville, about 145 miles. Let me know where and when or other route someone has that may be better or more scenic. What you got  Bobby, it's your dance???????? Where ever the trip starts, I'm at the southern end anyway, have bike will travel.

Yeah I didn't see a start time in Mark's thread...  I do like Eli's route as for me going through Rosenberg keeps me off the major roads.  But, I am game for any route.  My parents grew up in Buffalo, which is just a few miles further up from Centerville.

We are talking 2004, M. February 6th! Here you are with Mike in Centerville...

I still remember that as a cold day ride! No electrics.

That great ole memory was at the Southbound Woody's - on the west side of 45. The Northbound Woody's is better suited to a group of bad a$$ bikers and comes closer to matching HotGlue's end point for the Southerner's ride route. That's the skinny - from the not so...  Wink ~Jeff

OK, so the weather is looking lovely for this weekend.  I'm seeing ~30% chance of rain in Dallas, 70% chance in Centerville, and 70% chance in Houston, with "Potential for flooding rains".
As such, we will probably push this back one week, to March 18.  What are everyone's thoughts on that?
I most likely won't be able to go that day, but it's the only day that makes sense in the near future, when considering other events coming up.

Keep an eye on this thread.  I will be watching the forecasts closely, and posting updates here.

Well, I think that 80% chance of "flooding rains" in Houston for Sunday puts a nail in the coffin.  Let's wave off for this weekend, and plan for next weekend.  As stated before, I can't make it, but ya'll go on ahead and have fun.  So, noon at Woody's in Centerville, March 18.

Well, it had better start raining fast.  Otherwise, there's going to be a long line of Valkyrie riders at the local weatherman's office, pounding on the door ready to beat someone hard.

So far we're doing pretty good here, very light sprinkles, high winds. No rain Saturday, sun was out for a good part of the day, even got in a few miles. What a relief, thought I would be trapped in the whole weekend.

I just drove home from Denton .... rain most of the way.

A check of the rain gauge showed 3 1/2 inches since I left Friday morning.

My yard is better equipped for swimming than walking right now.
